Drop In

Every  Sunday afternoon  between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm we open God’s house  to welcome all comers to a  Drop-In Cafe. Most of our regulars are homeless, vulnerable or lonely. Some are our near neighbours.

The atmosphere is relaxed, conversation is good and food free of charge: soup and sandwiches, tea,  coffee  or squash – and occasionally cake.  Sometimes we are able to help out with items of clothing.

The Drop-In is staffed  on a rota basis by volunteer members of the church, including students. We meet together before and after each session to ask for God’s blessing and his guidance. There are always  at least four people on duty to serve, wash up and talk to our guests. There is also a rota for soup making – it works out at once every two months.

If you’d like to know more about the Drop-In and think you might like to join us, as a soup maker or just part of the team, have a word with Sue Ibrahim (Drop in Coordinator) and just come along one Sunday to see what’s going on.
